Snibbles

2009 – 2010

Snibbles is a fun, cut-paper style typeface inspired by the lettering of mid-century masters like Saul Bass and Paul Rand. Each letter has a half dozen alternates which are rotated through automatically with OpenType. The effect isn't random though, a system was designed so letters subtly flow in and out of each other, creating interesting word-shapes and a sense of rhythm, characteristics that define the high-quality lettering this emulates.
